Sarah Miller
Hello all! My name is Sarah Miller. My parents are Michael and Elizabeth Miller. My grandparents are Charles Russell and Marilyn Ross Russell. My great grandparents are John and Tiny Ross. I was born in Seattle and spent the first handful of years of my life in the Seatac/Seattle area. When I was eight years old, my family moved to the Tulalip Reservation, which is where I did the rest of my growing up. I went to school for a few years at Marysville Pilchuck High School but graduated from the Tulalip Heritage School in 2002. I went to college at Everett Community College, going for an English degree. I switched at some point and went for a Photography degree before enrolling in Northwest Indian College to pursue my love of Lushootseed. Nowadays, I live in Everett, with my cat, Ruby and my cockatiel, Beaker. I enjoy teaching the young kids how to speak Lushootseed and hope to someday reach a wider audience. In my spare time, I’m either making messes, writing, or hanging out at the comic book store..
