Lushootseed Dining Room Placemats

This new placemat was given to the children at the Betty J. Taylor Early Learning Academy and also given out at a recent community event.
The placemat contains various phrases to use around the dinner table, as well as foods, utensils. and the Table song. A QR code directs your smart phone to a webpage, so you can listen to all the phrases, words and song.

There is another placemat that contains a simple prayer to be used at meals. Click on the links below to printout the placemats and listen.

Lushootseed Research is excited to announce we will be hosting the 12th Annual Lushootseed Language Conference on Saturday, April 23rd. The theme for this year’s conference is, Cultural Vitality in the time of COVID. We are inviting people to submit proposals for presentations that would be 15-30 minutes in length highlighting successes you’ve had with engaging community and students in Lushootseed language learning and activities during the pandemic. Please submit your proposal by Friday, February 18th @ 5:00 p.m. in order to be considered. Thank you.
