I attended the University of Arizona and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics. My focus there was in Language Revitalization, and I studied Lushootseed along with Navajo and Quechan (My father’s Native language). Now my focus is bringing Lushootseed into modern usage, from asking directions to explaining how to fix a computer (have you tried turning it off and on again?) I am currently working at the Betty J. Taylor Early Learning Academy as a Teaching Assistant.
