My name is Nik-Ko-Te St. Onge. I am an enrolled Tulalip Tribal member. I come from the Oldham, Hood, Moses, Casmir, Cagley, and Jones families. I am a Teacher in the Lushootseed department. My Great-grandparents are Marya D. Moses (deceased), Walter Moses Sr.(deceased) and Margaret Casmir. My grandparents are Rachel Hood and Albert J. Hood Sr.(deceased), Gene George Custer Oldham and Florence Casmir . My mom is Mamie P. Hood and my father is Bruce Oldham, my dad is Keith A. Abraham. I am the third oldest of 12 children.
My name means number 1 in the Absent-Tee Shawnee language (my scapaʔ named me). my Indian name is Ka-Ka-La-Ma-Honey-Qua, in the Absent-Tee Shawnee language it means “to work hard like a squirrel”, my scapaʔ also gave me this name. My aunt Johanna and Anna Moses raised me from the age of 10, until I turned 18. I graduated from Tulalip Heritage High School in 2009.
